World Book Day Travels 2014

The Snorgh in Japan

The Snorgh and the Sailor is the book selected by Seven Stories, the National Centre for Children’s Books to be at the centre of their 2014 World Book Day programme. As a part of the celebration, Seven Stories are sending the Snorgh to all kinds of exotic locations. Here’s his photo album…

Discovery Primary School, Greenwich

The wonderful Discovery Primary School in Greenwich — who were responsible for the excellent Snorgh interview that we published a few weeks back — got in touch to share some pictures of their amazing Snorgh-related activities, including making life-size Snorghs and sea monsters! There were so many wonderful pictures that we were not sure which ones to choose. But click the image to see a sample of their brilliant work, to help you get your own creative juices flowing.

Year One, Brownlow School, Melton Mowbray

Adventure no. 1

Year one at Brownlow School in Melton Mowbray have done some brilliant things with the Snorgh. As well as acting, telling stories of their own, writing fantastic postcards from the Snorgh on his adventure home to his mum, they have made a beautiful book of their own. Have a look by going here

Early Sketches

Lots of sailors!

See some of Tom’s early sketches of the Snorgh. Lovely pencil drawings that show you how the Snorgh and the Sailor changed as we thought about the story. See here
